Trailer Purchase & Custom Build Return Policy

At North DFW Trailers, we work hard to make sure every customer understands their trailer purchase before completing a sale. Please review our return policy below.

Standard Stock Trailer Purchases

All standard in-stock trailer sales are considered final once the purchase agreement has been completed and the trailer has been delivered or picked up.

North DFW Trailers will comply with all applicable Texas state laws regarding vehicle and trailer sales, including any laws related to cancellation rights or buyer protections. At this time, Texas does not generally provide a “buyer’s remorse” return period for trailer purchases after the sale has been finalized.

We strongly encourage customers to inspect the trailer, review specifications, ask questions, and confirm towing compatibility prior to purchase.

Custom Trailer Builds & Special Orders

All custom trailer builds and special-order trailers require a non-refundable deposit before production begins.

Because custom trailers are built specifically to the customer’s requested specifications, North DFW Trailers does not accept returns, cancellations, or exchanges on custom-built or special-order trailers once the order has been approved and production has started.

Customers may choose to cancel prior to production; however, all deposits made toward custom builds or special orders will be forfeited.

Depending on the project, customers may be required to place a 50% deposit or pay for the project in full before work begins.

Due to the custom nature, labor, materials, production scheduling, and manufacturing commitments involved, no exceptions will be made on completed custom trailer orders.

Questions Before Purchase

We encourage all customers to carefully review quotes, specifications, dimensions, options, financing terms, and timelines before placing an order. Our team is happy to answer questions and help ensure you are selecting the right trailer for your needs before committing to purchase.

Parts Return & Installation Policy

At North DFW Trailers, we want to make sure our customers receive the correct trailer parts and accessories for their needs. Please review our parts return and installation policy below.

Parts Returns

Standard in-stock parts may be returned for a refund if all of the following conditions are met:

  • The part has not been installed or used
  • The part is returned in its original packaging
  • The customer provides the original sales receipt or proof of purchase
  • The part is returned in new, re-sellable condition

North DFW Trailers reserves the right to inspect all returned items before approving a refund.

Non-Returnable Parts

We do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds on:

  • Parts that have been installed, mounted, wired, modified, or used
  • Parts removed after installation
  • Electrical components
  • Special-order or custom-order parts
  • Clearance or discontinued items
  • Damaged parts caused by improper installation or misuse

Once a part has been installed on a trailer or vehicle, it is considered used and is no longer eligible for return.

Customer-Supplied Parts

For safety, liability, and warranty reasons, North DFW Trailers does not install customer-supplied parts or accessories.

We only install parts and components sourced directly through our dealership or approved vendors so we can properly stand behind the quality, compatibility, and safety of the products being installed.

This policy helps protect both our customers and our team from potential safety concerns, improper fitment, or product failures.

Warranty Information

Some parts may carry a manufacturer warranty. Any applicable warranty claims must be handled according to the manufacturer’s warranty guidelines and approval process.
